Remote Access Services
With a lot of staff now working from remote locations or wishing to work whilst abroad, on holiday, when on sick leave or maternity leave, it's becoming more of a requirement to enable remote access.
Remote access can be through various means:
- Terminal Services - which allows users to use programmes as well as the files and emails
- Remote Desktop - which allows users to remote into their own desktop and use it as if sitting in front of it
- VPN conenctions - which create a virtual network to the company server and the files, folders and email system
- WebDav - which is similar to a VPN conenction
Cheltenham Computer Specialists can set up a system which will allow you remote access to your files, email and even programmes. If security is an issue we can set up a Secure VPN system which adds a decent level of security and encryption to your conenction.
If you are running an Exchange Email Server we can provide a web based email system which can be accessed from any Internet connected device with a browser. This is called OWA (Outlook Web Access) and provides access to all your company emails, contacts, calendars and shared mailboxes.
Exchange server will also push emails to your iPhone, Blackberry, Microsoft or Android Phone. In the event your phone gets lost or stolen, all emails can be remotely wiped from that phone.
